No, you read the title right. This is a virtual card from 2012 that I never got around to putting up for some reason. In fact, all this time the Virtual Cards from the 2012 set went from 45 to 47 and I’m not sure if anyone ever noticed. All well. As we mentioned in the Goten article, this space was meant for a Gotenks Lv. 4 to make that personality an MP, but unfortunately we just couldn’t work out the kinks. This is a Sayjin created card, so enjoy.
Finally Bardock has a better Level 1 personality for an ally deck, and he’s in his brand new Super Saiyan form to boot. It is a pretty sweet attack, but as far as Main Personalities go I think I’ll stick to the Capsule Corps Power Pack Lv. 1 over this. Too bad there isn’t a more reliable way to both get this power and see the opponent’s hand…
Oh wait, there’s totally a way to do that now!
We decided to add a Level 3 this season to give Bardock some more variety. This ninja looking fellow has the potential to put Bardock in the beats/control hybrid of decks. With Super Ninja Bardock, you get an extra card, you get an attack if you’re using the Virtual Lv. 1 and you can see your opponents hand from the power of the Capsule Corps Power Pack Lv. 2. Not only that, you can potentially start loading up your opponent’s attack hand with junk on the attack or set up a wicked Saiyan Spindletop Punch. Probably best used with the Majin Buu Saga Saiyan Style Mastery outside of Tuff Enuff, but who know what other awesome deck builds you could find with this guy.
So you might notice that this Bardock now skips a number in the 2013 Virtual Card Set. Well that’s because we originally had another Level 3 character to debut here, but due to his IMMENSE POWER we felt like saving him for next week.
Later BroZ!
I always wanted to have a badass Bardock MP, time to change one of my deck!
Great set, really does justice to what you would expect from a bardok set too.
Time to update the old Bardock deck.
The immense power you reference is Gohan… Gohan’s Immense Power, jumps him up 2 levels… This is something I want to see.
The title looked like “Nasty in Pasties” so now I have images of Bardock wearing pasties in my head. Thanks.
Agreed.
Hmm, both these levels with CS Saiyan could lead to some fun. 7-9 attacks and your opponent is getting a junk card plus you get to see their hand. Looks fun.
I think these would work a little better if you went ahead and just made a new level two as well. And may be a level four.
I’d agree about the L2, but I think he should stay a 1-3 personality.
A new lv 2 is not needed.
for these two new levels, it wold be nice these cards open Bardock up to more then just ally decks, but the old level two is completely useless unless you are running allies.
Its what is called keeping a personality from being over powered.
As others mentioned, I think the original Bardock was a great personality. That being said, I couldn’t tell you what any of Bardock’s old personality levels specifically do with allies off the top of my head without reading the card, if that tells you anything.
Yeah, I’m pretty sure he was never successfully used in an Ally deck. Just control because of being able to see opponent’s hand. That alone is a huge ability. The only reason I could see for giving him a new level 2 would be if you wanted to mix and match like you can now, but while being able to see their hand from the get-go.
Agreed on seeing the opponent’s entire hand is a massively powerful ability often overlooked. However, I was more thinking a level 2 should be made to fit the theme you seem to have going on here – simple control abilities with an aggressive spin. I was thinking something like:
“Power: Gain 3 power stages. Reveal a random card from your opponent’s hand. You may have your opponent draw a card and then place the revealed card on the top of his life deck.”
Combo’s with the L1 and L3 nicely.
This guy now has some awesome potential. With that level 3 you can maintain a huge level of control by not only knowing what your opponent is up to but influencing it instead. Nice job.
Bardock was really good before.
