When we added to Frieza’s personality stacks last year, there was somewhat of a gap for the Level 3. Frieza’s current (and only) Level 3 isn’t terrible per se, but it just doesn’t leave much to the imagination and doesn’t flow with the new virtual personalities we created. We thought we had done enough to Frieza to at least make him playable, but we kept hearing a call for a Level 5 (something we ourselves desired at some point as well). It didn’t make sense to have a new Level 5 with a still out-of-place Level 3, so we decided to do something about that.
So this Frieza continues with the Frieza-named theme, but also adds an incredibly powerful (and unstoppable) attack that goes well with the Frieza’s Irritation Grows theme we supported with our last card. You could actually have a pretty mean combat if you catch your opponent unguarded when you reach Level 3 where you can grab an Irritation Grows and then hop up to your bonkers Level 4 from Hell and start popping out some Dragon Balls. If you can get to your Level 5 from there, his attack should clinch the game for you (if the Most Powerful Personality Victory didn’t already).
Another way you can play this is going for the staying power and attack boost that Frieza’s Daunting Bombardment gives you. Granted that card isn’t very helpful if you are trying to go the Irritation Grows route, but hey, that’s why you run Frieza’s Glory Drill if you want the best of both worlds. Alternatively, you could go defensive by grabbing a Frieza Smiles (which can be played after using Frieza’s power, as long as it’s still the first card to be played from your hand) or a Frieza’s Force Bubble if you’re facing an energy heavy deck.
All that’s left now is the new Frieza Lv. 5. Come back on the 25th to see the Glory of Frieza. Later, BroZ!
Dope fresh. Glad Frieza is getting a level 5 as well. Long overdue.
So glad he’s getting all new levels. Score never really did the original big villian of Z any justice. His Trunks saga levels and HT are awful… and his other levels are a weak energy, or trying to win by dragonball victory… what?
These have inspired me to print them off and proxy up a MBS Freestyle Frieza Goku Sensei deck, hoping to quickly dump some irritation grows to start flying through my levels to win through anger, or maybe beatdown.
If you use Goku Sensei, you can not win via MPPV.
Sure you can. Just use Alt. NDB6 and have your opponent steal it from you. 🙂
Whoops missed that! Thx
This card is broken.
I’m slightly worried about the infinite sustain with Bombardment this guy can have, but Frieza’s named cards being so limited may keep this in check. Wombo combo with Irritation Grows to jump to 4 for a free ball may be over the top as well, but it is still a L3/L4 combo. The 2 combats it takes to set that up can be the game alone.
Infinite sustain? The five-minute battle that goes on forever? FROM FRIEZA?
GENIUS I LOVE IT.
I hope we can keep the comments civil and CLEAN unlike the facebook page…. sheesh that’s ridiculous. I like it. You have to get to level 3 just for an unstoppable attack that isn’t too devastating and lil added juice, not bad at all. It feels like Frieza is getting the respect he deserves with all his new cards. Great job gang.
