Gen Con is now less than a month away, and we promise that all Virtual Cards legal for the tournament will be revealed by the 1st of August. This next card isn’t so much a game changer, but a logical card for the Retro DBZ environment that has probably been imagined since the Saiyan Saga introduced a very similar card. This is as close as we’ve gotten to a GT reprint.
Similar to Chi-Chi Lv. 1, Bulma can protect her husband or son from an energy attack. We also added slight anger gain just because of the angry nature of both Bulma and Vegeta. Bulma also has Vegeta in her title, making her compatible with Vegeta Freestyle decks. Hero Vegeta decks are starting to look just a little bit better, and at least Vegeta now has better synergy with his family than he previously had. And while not the best choice, it at least gives the new Captain Ginyu some more options.
Keep checking us out as we reveal another Bulma later this week that works with a very specific old flame.
Later, BroZ!
I think this type if uncomplicated card is the type of thing virtual cards should be.
Despite this not bringing some awesome, unique effect, it fills a hole that was missing from the original card game. I like that it’s not usable by Trunks as that’s almost redundant (Both the block and anger).
And no, sorry guys, Vegeta Villain Freestyle all the way. Hero just doesn’t cut it :/
Make more simple, non gimicky cards like this.
Haha, you guys will love the next card.
I hope its a physical attack doing +3 power stages of damage and raising/ lowering anger by 1. 😉
Speaking of non-gimmicky cards, I think it would be cool to see some of the signature attacks that went unused or underused in the card game get some representation in a basic sort of way. E.G. Masenko, Special Beam Cannon, Big Bang Attack, and for all that is holy a not crappy Galick Gun
I like this. Nice little touch to a deck style that definitely needs a little help to stand up to juggernaughts like Broly (bad example maybe, I don’t think broly is gonna care too much about this card xD).
Like the other guys have said, I like this more than the kind of gimmicky stuff that’s designed to work with unpopular masteries and stuff. As much as I like the idea of making things like the red wgs mastery good as it opens up more playstyles, I feel the best way to do this is with a lineup of solid cards that work decently with it, rather than one drill or whatever with a really specific power and overpowered power that pretty much only works with that mastery.
why does bulma look like a voodoo doll in the home page pic that links this page?
Her body has been stolen by Captain Ginyu.
