Some members of the community are holding a tournament on March 16. So if you live in the Beloit area and have a free weekend you should dust of your cards and play.
Midwest DBZCCG Championship Series North Kai Event
Date: March 16th, 2013
Time: Noon
Place: AK Comics in Beloit, WI.
Rules: Following all RetroDBZccg.com rulings and erratas. Also all the virtual cards made on Retros site are legal. Baba however will not be legal for this event. Proxies are legal, only if its an actual printed out picture. No hand written proxies.
Cost: $10.00
Prizes: Cash- a percentage depending on attendance. Possibly store credit. I might be able to find some league promos for participation. (I’m sure everyone has them but it’s something)
The store has room for 20-25 ( 28 at most) comfortably, so the first 25 people will get seats. I hope we can make this a success.
Please visit the DBZCCG Midwest Championship Series FB page and look under the events tab. Also a live vote is going on to choose the picture for the first place prize (along with some cash money) of an Alternate Art North Kai Sensei. We are also in discussion of adding another day to tournament to make it worth the drive up here. Any questions please post on the DBZCCG Midwest Championship Series FB page.

Good luck with the turnout, wish I could attend. Northeast DBZCCG Championship 😉
Thanks Didier. This the first of three (or more) events for the Midwest Series. The next is at Die-con in St. Louis in June. Should be an awesome year for the community.
Chris Smith is running this event and it should be great.
I can’t speak for Chris’ event, but when we do our St. Louis events, part of the entry fee goes to store credit for the shop or store hosting us to thank them and give them business for letting us occupy their space.
And I would like to thank the Retro crew for posting this. I’m sure I can speak for Chris here, we appreciate it and hope to keep the game going and growing.
With regards to Shannon’s comment, yes the store will take a percentage of the prize pool for letting us use his space. But that is why I am including the North Kai card to supplement the first place prize. So should be an exciting event. I hope to record a few matches with my iPhone and send to Garrett and the retro crew to post up here if they come up good.
Yeah, I was just mentioning it to show something I think that was taken for granted by alot of us: Shop owners allowing us to loiter and hang out for many hours back in the day lol.
+1
We happy to help in anyway we can. When you have the details for the other events let us know and we will post them.
Also, if anyone is wanting to get some more online play, alot of the people attending this event will be on in the evenings looking for games and playtesting, or just strategy/deck building talk. The Facebook page is also a great resource to find people online looking to play!
I might want to play others online possibly. Can I get a link for the facebook? Kinda new to this community.
