Dragon Ball Z is full of characters who travel through time. Most of the time they are traveling back in time to try and stop some terrible future where all the Z fighters have been killed. Lamenting the Future is a card designed for those characters.

I think this card will see play at the next Midwest Champs Tournament. (Defense against OVA and all the nasty non-combats other decks use), and i added this to my Bulma deck today. 🙂
um…i know you guys hate the ‘IMO’ stuff and want to see actual feedback based on playtesting before we just complain about cards we think are overpowered but come on…i’m not gonna say this card is game-breaking because obviously it only really works when playing against a non-combat or control deck…but this card just gives a HUGE advantage to black bardock control, future gohan saiyan or namekian, cell anything, and trunks/tapion sword…decks that are all good in their own right (black bardock control being the deck that definitely DOES NOT NEED this card to help it against other control decks because it already has so much…)…i will try to provide feedback with actual playtesting with this in a couple decks to provide some real input but its the last sentence that i really have a problem with…the fact that its secondary is the kicker…i would really like to see this card toned down to “…discard a Non-Combat card in play. If successful, your opponent searches their life deck for all copies of that Non-Combat card and discards them.”…that way its still good with the initial discard, but the 2nd massive part is conditional…with SWK being banned its def a bit harder now to make a deck with good discard pile manipulation (outside of the above mentioned black bardock control)…i just see it too easy to pop this out then majin buu’s heel kick or pan’s victory the non-combats away…in a single turn you could take away all EDQ’s, ZWG’s, or Orange Focusing Drills…make Buu Saga Orange Style Mastery unplayable? Done. I love you guys and what you’ve done for this game, but I gotta get to some playtesting with some results showing this card to be overpowered as it is…
There’s nothing to complain about here. You listed a bunch of deck types NO ONE plays that this is useful in.
btw there’s a large part of the initial series that i haven’t seen (i was never actually that into the show, moreso the game)…but when did frieza ever time travel…did i miss that?
Frieza didn’t time travel, but somehow (and by that, I mean they literally never explain it) his Death Ball caused Bardock to travel back in time. So he’s about on par with Bulma in terms of time travel.
this has nothing to do with this card or post string but i’m assuming garrett is responsible for the new layout/design of the site? FANTASTIC!!! the pics/colors are so vibrant and clean i love it…plus you used a pic of bulma when she was younger and perkier…i mean lets be honest it all goes down hill after 17 am i right?
Only complaint I have is that Super 17 is there. Let’s face it, GT doesn’t exist. Though I am glad Future Trunks got a nod.

I’ll take your word for it. At 720p, it cuts off at his cheek so I only really see an ear, half a neck, and an arm.
Also, just noticed, that Broly is LSSJ3, isn’t he?
