These next few cards are going to be styled and be based on the original Dragon Ball series. Fortunately there were a few Namekians and at least one Saiyan in that series. Our goal is not to make staples for styles but either provide something new or to help a less utilized theme for each style. Today, Staff Officer Black is helping Black with a little bit of beats and a little bit of punishment for a deck that packs too many Non-Combats.
Officer Black means business! Remember, it’s not considered a named card unless there is a matching personality in the game, so things like this card, Elder Kai’s Sacrifice and Recoome’s Vogue Drill are not named cards.

I almost bugged out when I saw the headline image, though — you know how badly I’ve wanted to make some Red Ribbon Army stuff! 😛
This card needs a little something. At a core its just a Phys 5LC with +1 Anger. The only way the other secondary effect goes off is if you declare combat on your turn and your opponent draws a NC from those 3 cards AND it gets randomly chosen.
But hey, there’s black twice in the title! Maybe say “(Effects that affect black style cards affect this one twice.)” =p As it stands now, this one doesn’t pack any wow or punch like the other Virtual Cards do.

and yes, i like that black cards would effect it twice, haha. but 9 life and 4 stages focused might be a bit much. i really like that idea though. perhaps an officer black personality whose CCP’s do that with black’s black cards? hmmmm…
But it’s black! When’s the last time you saw a decent black beatdown deck, let alone a good black deck that used the TS Mastery. =p

his CCPP could be, all black style officer black named cards are affected twice by black style cards. his level 1 power could be a physical attack, this attack is considered a black style officer black named card. his level 2 could be the same thing but it can be used twice per combat and his level 3 could be the same thing used three times per combat. so essentially they all start off as physicals doing +4 and +4 and if you have black modifiers they can get pretty huge.
I have to agree with Chippy on this one, as it stands it is 7 LC 2 stages ( assuming you use TS mastery ) with +1 anger. Sure its cool for the secondary effect, but I really don’t see anyone making room in their deck for the attack unless it was a themed deck that focused on physical attacks that damaged from the life deck itself.
haha yeah I had the same reaction as chippy, i even talked to geoff about it. Just seems more like a sensei deck card since its very limited in its uses. Theres no way it’d make a main deck I was building, black just too many other better cards.
It’s not groundbreaking in any way, I agree. But I also don’t think it’s terrible either, and it’s nice to see some Dragon Ball characters make it in.
